i'm still alive…

Since I didn't go into a ketoacidic coma last night I woke up this morning. So far no excessive urination and thirst, so I now suspect a too low dose of Metformin to be the culprit of yesterday's woes.

I have lost another 700 grams compared to the weight I measured yesterday morning. Three-quarters of a kilo in a day is too fast, I think. Maybe I should adapt my diet slightly. Nicole thought yesterday's symptoms looked like an Atkins no-carb diet overdose and she might be right. I am not following an Atkins diet, but doing a similar thing with low carbohydrates.

diet water: same great taste, half the calories

Vincent, on the other hand, thought it might be the penopause (andropause). I don't know where he gets that idea; maybe personal experience? I'm glad to report that everything is still functional ;-)

Me too. Missed your crisis yesterday because I was playing "farm golf" with my colleagues (my wrists are still hurting a bit, and there's something wrong with my knee as well) Go and have a donut. Or chips. Low-carb has worked for me to keep my weight in check, but then I compensate by not skimping on chocolate.. Good luck on sorting out the meds.

Kees, I'm so glad to hear it's not worse today. Maybe you could use a few more good carbohydrates, especially those from beans and pulses. Bean and pea soup would be good. Rye bread. Brown rice.

Glad to hear all this Kees, got me worried a little bit. Losing kilo's is cool but not that fast I think.

Whenever you think something is going wrong, don't hesitate to see a doctor or go to the first aid in the hospital.

Great photo of the diet water btw. Should call it water "zero"...
