zombie brains

The heat and humidity last night caused me to sleep badly. When I woke up this morning I was feeling wrecked. I walked out the door without my iPod (empty battery) and forgot to bring my camera (zombie brain). The camera in my Motorola telephone makes pictures that look like they've been made underwater with a lens made from an old jenever glass. Hence no photos today.

At work I looked into IDS (intrusion detection systems). We have already deployed one on one of our webservers, but it never hurts to look into other systems and see what they can do.

In the afternoon tea-break I had to explain three times how botnets are trying to break into our systems and how they can succeed. Some people found it hard to believe. That's one of the reasons botnets are still around… People thinking "that could never happen (to me)".

Going home I found a new route! I didn't think it was possible, but it's even shorter than the walk along the Ringdijk. There's enough to see as well, so if Im not too much a zombie tomorrow and bring the camera I'll make some pictures.

Since there are no photos today, I'll leave you with a music video created by capturing applications from a standard Mac OS X desktop and editing them together to form the narration of the video. Brilliant!
